Hi Aswini,
I think you must have read my first response.
Let me give my opinion abt ur other options.
1. IIT ,Chicago
Good location; 100 % admit; No funding at all;You may avoid if ur looking for funding.
2.UMKC
You may expect a dean fellowship (50 % chances) which covers 50 % tution fee. 100 % Admit; In case something goes wrong you may go for ir as safe bet;
3.UIC ,Chigao
70 % admit; Funding may be reality in II sem; But I ve my own doubts; Good location for jobs; Costly University; Good reputation
4.UIUC & STONY BROOK...No chance of getting an admit
Hopefully my views are beneficial to you.All the best _________________ Director,

Hi Ashwini,
People say that Networking is good in getting jobs. Many students are coming to me for this area of interest. But ensure ur self.
Regarding Univ (I think ur pretty rich in opting for IIT,Chicago and UIC)
1. University of Kansas is a good option; Good funding too; 90 % admit
2. UTD; Admit is OK(80 %); No funding chances; Lots of Indians.
3.University of Arizona (50 % chances) ; everything else is fine except for ur low acads. Funding may be a problem : Otherwise a good Univ.
4.TAMU ...Yes ur ambitious. 10 % chances
Hope ur OK with my advices. _________________ Director,

Hi Ajay,
Those 10 Backlogs may ruin ur chances in getting admissions in the Universities u ve listed except for
Stevens Institute of Technology;
Otherwise U would ve easily got an admission in all the Univ's u 've listed.
At this stage my best advise would be to write to the Grad coordinator abt ur plight and seek directly their advice.
Otherwise the following options would be better where they accept ur 10 backlogs
1.Arkansas Tech
2.Northwest Missouri University
3.St Mary's University, San Antonio
4.U of Texas, Pan American (Evaluation of Credentials 110 USD extra)
5.Univ of Southern Arkansas(WES evaluation; 160 USD extra)
6.Univ Illinois, Springfield
and the list would go on and on .......

Hi Karthik ,
I still ve to work on ur profile based on ur interests (VLSI & Embedded).
But in the meantime let me give u one more advice to consider.
For any professional there are 2 directions.
1. Go into one area of interest and see it's end. In that case PhD (after doing of course an MS) is a better option. But be prepared for its definition (Practically Head Damaged). I am just kidding. But u require lot of patience and interest in that area. that too to excel in chip design u got to be really strong in physical Interpretation of High Level Maths. If u ve that u can go ahead.
2. Since ur already working try to consider for applying to B-Schools for MSIS or MSIT or Technology Management programs. They consider ur experience and GRE scores too. This could be a good platform for doing a an MBA program in TOP B-Schools (ela Wharton, Slovens, Tuck,Kellogs etc.,) in near future. The pay will be enormous and highly rewarding.
Anyway after a while in any job one has to manage the things. So see ur self at the age of 30 or 32 (I feel ur age is somewhere around 24 ).
Hopefully I ve not confused u further. Bye for now _________________ Director,
