Quant:

1. Given ‘A‘s’ probability of hitting a target is 2/3, ‘B’s’ probability of hitting the same target is 4/7. What is the probability of not hitting the target by either of them?

2. Given that t^2 – ty < 0
Col A: t
Col B: y


3. If z = xy^2, then
Col A: mod(z)
Col B: -z


4. Given that ak = (1/k) – (1/k+1). Find the value of the expression (a1+ a2 + a3 + …… +a100)?
Note: k, 1, 2, 3, ….1000 are suffixes

5. A person travels first 2 hrs of his journey at 55 miles/hr and next 2.2 hrs of his journey at 65 miles/hr to reach his destination. On his return journey, if he travels at 50 miles/hr then how much extra time would he take to reach back?

6. Given the difference of age between two persons ‘A’ and ‘B’ as ‘x’ and difference of age between persons ‘B’ and ‘C’ as ‘x+y’

1/2+1/6+1/12+1/20+1/30+1/42+1/56+1/72+1/90+1/110+.....................................1/10200.

A1=1/2 A100=1/10100
by formula n/2(a+l)=50(1/2+1/10100)=5051/202 correct me if im wrong

in total 4.2 hrs he travela a distance of 261 km for traveling 261 kms at 50 mph 261/50 =5 hrs hence 5-4.2 gives0.8

t(t-y)<0
so t<0 and t-y<0
so t<0 and t<y
so ans is (D)

easy to solve this
ak=1/k-1/(k+1)
place values of k=1,2,3....till 100

u will get


1-1/2+1/2-1/3+1/3+.....-1/99+1/99-1/100

1-1/100=100/101
5) 52 mins

6) i think ( C ) is the ans

colA ::: A-C= 2x+y
col B:::; 2x+y

total 252 min

252/50= 5 hours 04 mints =304 mints
304-252 =52 mints

total 242 min

242/50= 4.84=276 mints
276-242 =34 mints
