2nd answer
as from the figure it is clear that ab+cd is the diameter of circle
hence d=2r
hence answer is c(they are equal) |

2)ab+cd is a chord of circle
lenth of chord is always less than lenth of diameter.
(ab+cd)/2 < diameter/2 = r
ANSWER B |

Q. 1. r = sqrt (1 / (pi-2) )
let radius be r, then the area of circle be pi*r^2.
In a square opposite sides can be calculated from 90-45-45 triangle,
diagonal length which is 2r, then sides be sqrt(2)*r
=> area of shaded region = pi*r^2 - 2*r^2
1 = r^2 ( pi - 2)
=> r = sqrt (1 / (pi-2) ) |

Te answer for the 9th question iis 48. (3*2*1)*2^3.
For the 1st question ,they didnt tell the box inscribed in the circle is a square or a rectangle.so the answer for that is d.
correct me if i am wrong. _________________ y.rajasekhar |

2 is tough
I do agree that it could be B
but what if the figure was not drawn to scale and the chords were moved around?
then could we not get a double case and thus D? |

can any 1 explain 1st question..
how can v take it as a square.. v can take it as a rectangle also..
diagonal of that square or rectangle will be 2r..
but the angles of it will vary.. in case of rectangle it will be 30,60,90.. and in case of square it will be 45,45,90..
so any one explain it.. else i think the answer will be "D".. but if it is a solving problem.. then pls explain.. |
